Face Lift Alternative!

Who doesn't want to look younger and more beautiful?!  While a facelift is a nice idea, not everyone can afford it and not everyone is excited about the potentially invasive procedures on the market.  So why not try something different?

We've all heard the expression, "hair frames the face".  It's true, and anyone who has ever framed a picture knows that the frame can make or break that picture!  For many women the tendency is to cut hair shorter as they get older but this has much to do with hair health and also the pressure of society on a woman to 'stop trying to be sexy' after 40, 50 or 60 years of age, as it does with what actually works aesthetically for older women.

faye272aMany women cut their hair shorter as they get older because the hair loses it's length, sheen and overall vitality.  There's a very specific reason for this: the kidney!  The kidneys are the key to healthier looking hair!  As filters for the body's toxins the kidneys must be kept healthy (the liver also performs the task of filtering toxins).  One of the signs of a kidney not in optimum health are thinning, graying or falling out of hair.  Improving your kidney health is easy to do (though altering some of your eating habits may not be).

Try cutting down on processed foods.  Basically anything that comes in a box or wrapper, fast foods, etc. The next time you reach for a snack in a wrapper or box - go get an apple or an orange instead.  Simple.  Over the course of a year you'll spare your body (your kidneys) the burden of having to breakdown 20 or more pounds of 'junk food'.  Your kidneys will thank you by rewarding you with healthier hair!DrLBefAft1

Some kidney 'vitamins' are milk thistle, kidney beans, dark green leafy vegetables (like kale or seaweed) and radish.  Try getting more of these things in your diet and watch your hair grow!

While your waiting for your hair to come back to it's glorious state remember that hair extensions are a way to instant sexiness!  I've been doing hair extensions for over 25 years and long ago I saw how damaging braided and/or bonded methods of hair extensions (weaves and sew-ins) could be on a woman's hair.  The last thing I want to do as a stylist is cause damage to my clients natural hair which is why I only use methods that do not use cornrows, glue or braiding.goldie1a1

I created many of these techniques over the years as I searched for ways to accommodate my clientele of women who suffered with various forms of thinning hair and hair loss. Interlocking, Securelocking and the The Custom Integration are just a few techniques that work well on shorter damaged hair.

Just because you're over 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70 doesn't mean you can't have long beautiful hair!  Get back your groove!  Get back your sexiness!  You deserve it!
